What exactly is a gravel bike?
A gravel bike combines the speed of a road bike with the versatility of a mountain bike. Wide tyres (35mm and up), gravel geometry for stable steering on unpaved terrain, and drop handlebars for multiple hand positions. Ideal for gravel roads, forest trails, adventure rides and cycling holidays.
What is the difference between a gravel and road bike?
The gravel bike has a more relaxed geometry, wider tyres (35mm and up, against 25-32mm), more tyre clearance and more stable handling. The road bike is optimised for asphalt and speed. A gravel bike is more versatile — it rides well on asphalt but also excellently on gravel and unpaved surfaces.

Is a gravel bike suitable for bikepacking?
Yes, if the frame has the mounts for bags on the fork, down tube and top tube. The stable geometry and wide tyres keep a loaded gravel bike comfortable on long rides. Which mounts a bike has varies by model; feel free to ask us via WhatsApp.
Can you advise on the right gravel bike size for my height?
Yes. Every gravel bike listing states the frame size and the rider height it is intended for. If you are between two sizes, send us your height, your inside leg and the frame size of your current bike (brand, model and year) via WhatsApp.
